Associate Membership
Associate members of the Palmeira Practice (PP) are independent practitioners with their own consulting room, or home online practice, who wish to register with us to receive appropriate client referrals which are paid for via a referral fee.
The scheme is strictly limited in number and a waiting list will operate if the scheme becomes full. We are not interested in over-subscribing the scheme so that it becomes difficult for therapists to get referrals from us.

Criteria:
Anyone wishing to be an associate member must:
(a) be a registered member of the BACP, NCPS or UKCP or other established accrediting body, and
(b) have at least two years post-qualification experience working with clients.
Conditions:
The notice period is one month
You are required to provide a photo of your consulting room for use on the PP website
Your practice must be based in Brighton and Hove when offering face-to-face work (but if you have alternative practice addresses in outlying areas - Shoreham to Newhaven/Lewes - those can also be advertised as locations for you
You must have sufficient availability to be able to take referrals from us. The scheme is better suited to therapists who have a full-time practice or who are in practice at least 2 or 3 days a week.
Pricing:
There is a deposit of £75
There is a one-off fee per referral you accept. The client referral fee is £100 per client or £150 for a couples referral. The fee is charged once a client has attended one session after the initial appointment.

Referrals
All PP client referrals come through the Practice Manager/Referrals Coordinator, so you will be expected to keep our vacancy platform up to date so that we know what your current availability is. Referrals are chargeable once a client has attended one session after the initial appointment. The same fee is payable whether or not you charge full-fee, reduced-fee or no-fee for your initial meeting with the referred client.
