OUR ROLE REGARDING YOUR DATA
We take the issue of security and data protection very seriously and adhere to guidelines published in the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 which is applicable from the 25th May 2018, together with any domestic laws subsequently enacted.

The Palmeira Practice is required to let you know that we hold the following personal information relating to you:
Name, Telephone Number, and Email address, any other information you included if you contacted using the Enquiry Form on our website.
We hold this information to enable us to provide you with the service that you have requested from us, namely counselling and/or psychotherapy support. We use this information only to provide you with this service and for no other reason.
The information is stored as password protected digital records. These records are retained by us for a period of 3 years and then destroyed.
We do not hold any narrative information or clinical notes; these are the property of the individual counsellor or psychotherapist to whom you were referred.
SHARING YOUR INFORMATION WITH THIRD PARTIES
We do not share your information with any third parties except in the following situations:
We will share your details with the counsellor or psychotherapist in our team with whom you have chosen to work.
We may share your information with professionals or others at your request; this request must come to us in writing.
We may share your information where required to do so by law, and will endeavour to contact you to discuss this in advance.
By contacting the Palmeira Practice to seek counselling and/or therapy support, you are agreeing to the terms as laid out in this Privacy Statement.
